Welcome to Jake & Joe Grocery. By placing an order on this website you agree to these terms. Please read them before you order.

About us

Orders
When you place an order, we will send you a confirmation email. This is not our acceptance of your order. We accept your order when we dispatch your items. We may decline an order, for example if an item is out of stock, if there is a pricing error, or if we cannot deliver to your address. If we do, we will tell you and refund anything you have paid.

Prices and payment
All prices are in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT where it applies. Delivery charges are shown at checkout before you pay. Payment is taken when you place your order. We make every effort to show correct prices, but if we find an error we will contact you before dispatching your order and you can choose to continue at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.

Stock and substitutions
Stock levels change quickly. If an item you ordered is unavailable, we will contact you to offer a replacement or a refund.

Delivery
Delivery times, areas and charges are set out in our Shipping Policy. Delivery dates are estimates, not guarantees. Fresh, chilled and frozen goods are packed to stay safe in transit, but you should unpack and store them as soon as they arrive.

Product information and allergens
We try to keep product descriptions and images accurate, but packaging may change and images are for illustration. Always check the label on the product for ingredients, allergens, storage instructions and use-by dates before eating. If you have a food allergy, please do not rely only on the website.

Returns and refunds
Our Refund Policy explains how to return an item and when we refund you. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights if an item is faulty, not as described or not of satisfactory quality.

Your account
If you create an account, please keep your login details private and give us accurate information. You are responsible for activity under your account.

Our responsibility to you
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or our failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for delays or problems caused by events outside our control, such as severe weather, strikes or courier failures. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.

All content on this website, including text, logos and images, belongs to Jake & Joe Grocery or its suppliers. You may not copy or reuse it without our permission.

Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on the website when you place your order is the one that applies to that order.

Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can deal with any dispute, although if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring a claim in your local courts.
